When we were approached to re-purpose an old recording studio located inside this Devon property, we hadn’t quite appreciated how far this project would take us. Initially envisaged as a ‘listening room’, it quickly evolved through some quite significant structural changes in order to create this stunning dedicated Cinema space that the client and his family now enjoy.
We were asked to deliver a turnkey solution with one fairly simply brief – it needs to sound fantastic for both music and movies. To the client, a professional sound engineer, it was important that we demonstrated products that could deliver the accurate and responsive sound quality that would work in this room and Wisdom Audio was quickly selected as the speaker and amplifier brand for the project. Projection is delivered by a JVC 4K projector and the room is controlled with an intuitive control system by Control4.
The room also features a star ceiling, full acoustic treatments, fabric walling and Pixel LED lighting.
We are immensely proud that the room delivers effortlessly in both 2 Channel Hi-Fi listening right through to the 7.4.4 Dolby Atmos Cinema experience. It was a fantastic challenge technically and we love hearing from the client how much use the room gets from him and his family.
