Legacy Brands

Legacy smart home systems supported by Azro, including AMX and Clipsal control systems, lighting control reviews, upgrades and replacement planning.

Legacy Smart Home Systems

Azro supports selected legacy smart home systems for clients with older control, lighting and AV installations that need review, maintenance, repair or upgrade planning. Many premium homes already have established technology in place, but over time these systems can become unreliable, unsupported or difficult to use.
Legacy systems do not always need to be replaced immediately. In some cases, careful fault-finding, reprogramming, documentation or equipment replacement can improve performance. In other cases, moving to a modern control platform may provide a better long-term result.

Azro can assess existing AMX and Clipsal systems, explain what is still usable, identify problem areas and recommend a practical route forward. Our aim is to help clients regain confidence in their home technology without unnecessary disruption.

AMX Control and AV Systems

AMX is a control and automation platform often associated with advanced AV and integrated technology systems. It may be found in larger residential properties, media rooms, cinema spaces or older smart home installations where multiple devices need to be controlled from a central interface.
Azro can support clients with AMX systems that need maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting or replacement planning. Common issues with legacy systems can include unreliable controls, outdated interfaces, unsupported hardware, missing documentation or difficulty making changes to the system.

If an AMX system is no longer performing as expected, Azro can review the installation, explain the available options and recommend a practical route forward. This may involve improving the current setup, simplifying control, upgrading selected components or planning a migration to a newer smart home platform.

Clipsal Lighting and Control Systems

Clipsal is often found in established smart home and lighting control installations, particularly in properties where older control systems have been in place for some time. These systems may still perform useful functions, but they can become harder to support as technology changes and components age.

Azro can support clients with Clipsal systems that need reviewing, maintaining, upgrading or integrating with newer technology. For many clients, the priority is restoring reliability and making the system easier to use.

We can assess the existing Clipsal lighting or control infrastructure, identify whether components can be retained and advise whether repair, reprogramming or migration to a newer platform would offer the best long-term result. Where replacement is needed, Azro can help plan a phased upgrade that reduces disruption and improves everyday control.

Legacy System Reviews and Upgrade Planning

Older smart home systems can be frustrating when they are no longer supported properly. Lighting scenes may stop working as expected, AV controls may become unreliable, touchscreens may feel outdated or clients may find it difficult to make changes to the system.
Azro offers legacy system reviews to understand what is installed, how the system is being used and where the main issues are. This allows us to make informed recommendations rather than simply replacing equipment without a clear plan.

A review may include checking control processors, lighting modules, AV equipment, network infrastructure, cabling, user interfaces and documentation. From there, we can recommend repair, reprogramming, partial upgrade or full replacement depending on what will deliver the best result.

Repair, Replacement or Migration

The right approach for a legacy smart home system depends on the condition of the equipment, the availability of support, the client’s expectations and the future plans for the property. Some systems can be improved with targeted repairs or programming changes. Others may be better suited to a phased replacement.

Azro will explain the options clearly, including what can be retained, what should be replaced and where modern systems may provide better reliability or usability. If migration is the best route, we can help plan the process so the new system is properly designed around the existing home.

The goal is to create a more reliable, easier-to-use system that supports the way you live now, rather than forcing you to work around outdated technology.
